The four stances leadership framework - Lean In, Lean Back, Lean With, and Don't Lean - offer leaders a taxonomy for adapting their approach based on the needs and priorities of the moment. While similar to situational, transformational, and authentic leadership frameworks in recognizing the need for flexibility, I like the four stances model as it differs in focusing specifically on stances for interpersonal communication and relationship management, providing leaders with practical skills to apply in any interaction or scenario.
